Can u get abducted by aliens on the sims castaway stories for pc?

I put the good telescope on my sim's 3rd floor on the balcony and surrounded the lot with ufo crashes. He goes and stargazes all night every night, he's a knowledge sim, and his logic is maxed out, yet he's never been abducted. Am i doing something wrong? can sims be abducted at all in the sims castaway stories?
