Why do boys do thiss?

Why are boys always so competitive with girls? Mostly the boys in my school. They always say "I can do that!" Even when they clearly can't and when they try the practically kill themselves. Bt those are what the boys in my school do. Have you ever seen a boy be so competitive? If you have why do you think so? Boys you may answer too.
